The Trevor Proctor trained Tact Lizzie last night (Friday) rocked her way to Group1 harness racing glory in NZ record time for a racemare, when she downed a multitude of more fancied runners to take out the PGG Wrightson Breeders Stakes at Addington.
The daughter of Christian Cullen recorded a time of 3.09.4 for the mobile 2600, bettering the previous mark set by Mainland Banner back in 2006.
Lightning Raider holds out favourites in Pelorus Classic
With eight wins behind him this season already, Second Wind was the hot favourite in Blenheim for the Pelorus 4YO Classic on Sunday. However it was not meant to be, with the Cran Dalgety-trained Lightning Raider spoiling the $40,000 Group 2 party at the Waterlea Raceway.
